We just wanted to mention that Lawrie Williamson had an extremely successful annual Norfolk exhibition recently, with sales of his originals and limited editions grossing in excess of £50,000.
We truly believe at The Hawthorn Gallery that this artwork is very collectable and highly investable. The power of the original oils and watercolours is quite breathtaking. The generic term 'modern master' simply doesn't do Lawrie's work justice.
“Looking through the bottom of a pint pot, or over the rim of a wine glass, life is casually seen. People amuse, dogs delight, inanimate objects become alive and suddenly the world is on your doorstep. It leads one to love all animals and some people. The world is a miraculous accident. I intend to stick with it for some years. The Greek philosophers took the same path.” Lawrie Williamson, 2010.
